Dissipation & Resistivity Factor – IEC 60247
The dissipation test measures the leakage current through oil, which is the measure of the contamination or deterioration. The test is not specific in what it detects i.e. more a screening test. Resistivity is a reliable indicator of the condition of transformer oil, low resistivity values being a sign of oil, which contains particulate contaminants and oxidative products.
EPOL60 Automatic Oil Dielectric Loss Tester, is used for measuring dielectric dissipation factor and DC resistivity of insulating oil and other insulating liquids. This test machine integrates with test oil cell, temperature controller, temperature sensor, dielectric loss test bridge, AC test power, standard capacitor, high resistance meter, DC high voltage source and other major components.
The Oil vessel (oil cup) adopts the three-electrode structure according to standard IEC 60247:2004, with electrode spacing 2mm, which can eliminate the effects of the stray capacitance and leakage on dielectric loss test results.
