General Information:

The EPCL-II Transmission Line Test System is a high-precision instrument designed for on-site measurement of power frequency parameters of various high-voltage transmission lines, including overhead, cable, and hybrid overhead-cable lines. The instrument features an integrated structure with a built-in variable frequency power supply module capable of delivering regulated variable frequency output at selectable ranges of 47.5Hz/52.5Hz, 45.0Hz/55.0Hz, 57.5Hz/62.5Hz, or 55.0Hz/65.0Hz. By employing digital filtering technology, it effectively eliminates interference from power frequency electric fields, fundamentally solving the problem of accurate measurement under strong electromagnetic interference, and is also suitable for generator-powered testing in fully de-energized environments. As power grids expand and multi-circuit lines on shared towers become increasingly common, mutual coupling between transmission lines intensifies, causing stronger interference during power frequency parameter testing that severely compromises measurement accuracy and equipment safety. To address this challenge, our company has developed this next-generation transmission line parameter testing system, which integrates a variable frequency test power supply, a precision measurement module, a high-speed digital processing chip, and a proprietary patent-protected anti-induced voltage circuit. This design effectively eliminates the impact of strong electromagnetic interference, ensures the safety of the instrument, and enables users to measure transmission line power frequency parameters quickly, conveniently, and with exceptional accuracy.

Ø Full-Touch Super-Large LCD Display

The instrument is equipped with a 7-inch large-screen touch-sensitive color display and an ultra-full-touch operation interface, which is simple to operate. All operation steps are shown in an intuitive menu, making each step very clear. Operators can use the instrument without additional professional training. The entire measurement process can be completed with a light touch, making it an ideal intelligent measurement device.

Ø Simple and Convenient Power Connection

All measurement processes of the instrument only require connection to a 220V mains power supply, eliminating the inconvenience of connecting to a 380V field power supply found in existing measurement methods.

Ø Super Anti-Induced Voltage Capability

The instrument adopts a unique anti-induced voltage circuit, allowing it to withstand high induced voltages (anti-induced current up to 60A) and operate normally under induced voltages as high as 30,000 volts.

Ø Direct Measurement of Induced Voltage and Induced Current

The instrument's unique anti-induced voltage circuit enables it to withstand high induced voltages. Therefore, the instrument can directly measure induced voltage and induced current, and can determine whether the line is suitable for measurement.

Ø Frequency Conversion Technology for Accurate Measurement

With strong anti-interference capability, the instrument's measurement output power is provided by its built-in variable frequency power supply module. The frequency can be set to 47.5Hz/52.5Hz, 45.0Hz/55.0Hz, 57.5Hz/62.5Hz, or 55.0Hz/65.0Hz. Digital filtering technology is employed to effectively avoid various power frequency interference signals on site, enabling the instrument to achieve high-precision, accurate, and reliable measurements.

Ø High-Speed Processor

The instrument uses a professional high-speed digital signal processor as its core processing unit, which greatly enhances its computational and processing capabilities while ensuring the accuracy of measured data.

Ø Simple Operation

External wiring is simple. All measurements—positive sequence impedance, zero sequence impedance, positive sequence capacitance, and zero sequence capacitance—can be completed by connecting the test leads to the line under test just once at the test end. This solves the problems existing in traditional testing methods, such as cumbersome test wiring switching, and issues related to anti-interference, stability, and accuracy. It also avoids the risk of induced voltage harming the operator when changing wiring.

Ø Mass Data Storage

The instrument is equipped with a calendar chip and a large-capacity memory, allowing test results to be saved in chronological order. Historical records can be viewed at any time and printed out.

Ø Scientific and Advanced Data Management

Instrument data can be exported via a USB flash drive. Data can be viewed and managed on any PC, and work reports can be generated.

Ø Operational Safety Protection

A grounding detection function is specially designed into the instrument to determine whether the instrument is properly grounded on site. If the grounding is loose or not connected, the instrument will automatically detect this and prohibit user operation, thereby ensuring personal safety and protecting the instrument during use.
